Dennis L. Pracht passed away on March 28, 2020,  in Georgetown, Texas. Dennis was born in Topeka, Kansas, on September 18, 1943, the third son of Milburn F.Pracht and Amy Beals Pracht. His parents, as well as his brother Donald preceded Him in death.   His brother, Gerald  lives in Arkansas.  Dennis married his wife of 54 years, Marilea Farnsworth on May 29, 1965  at the Christian Church in Miltonvale, Kansas. They have two children: Daughter Shelly lives in California; son Benjamin, his wife  Hazel, and their children, Jessica and Alex live in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Following six months of active duty in the Army Reserve and summer camps, Dennis graduated from  Emporia State  University with a degree in Computer Science. Before  obtaining that degree, he had part-time jobs ranging from a paper route to bagging groceries to work at an amusement park. His first job after graduating was with  US Steel South Works in Chicago.  Dennis later held positions in the computer science field at Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, where he was known as a detail-oriented  expert in scheduling.

After retirement in 2009, Dennis and Marilea moved to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. Until his COPD became prohibitive, they were able to enjoy the travel they had always looked forward to having. At Sun City, they had the friendship  and fellowship of neighbors from all over the United States.

A graveside service will  be held at Miltonvale, Kansas. His Celebration  of Life service in Georgetown, Texas, will be announced later this year after the coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.
