Nancy B. Tucker of Emporia, entered into rest Friday, August 14, 2015 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. She was 71.

Nancy was born October 22, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Phillip L. and Caroline E. (Boon) Martin. She married Lee Everett Tucker on December 23, 1968 in Topeka.

Nancy graduated from Highland Park High School in Topeka in 1961 and Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia in 1965. She taught first grade in the Junction City School System. While raising her two children, she had an in home daycare. She also worked 20 years at the Emporia Community Day Care Center II. She was a member of the Emporia Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and participating with the United Presbyterian Women.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Caroline Martin. She is survived by her husband, Lee Tucker of the home; son, Eric Alan Tucker and wife Angela of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Brenda Louise Perry and Jeremy Gibbs of Tucson, Arizona; grandsons, Carson and Jensen Tucker of Wichita; sisters, Judy and Jim Heldberg of Pacifica, California, Carol McBride of Green Valley, Arizona; and  brother, Phil Martin of Kingsland, Texas.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Emporia Presbyterian Church, 802 Commercial St. Family will receive guests for a visitation at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the church. A graveside service will follow at Maplewood Memorial Lawn cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
