Linda Sue Mlynek, 77, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Linda was born June 10, 1943, in Topeka to Stephen and Marcella McKay Brooke. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1961. On August 1, 1970, Linda and James E. Mlynek were united in marriage at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton, Kansas. Linda had been a member of Holy Name Catholic Church most of her life and had been Director of Religious Education for the parish. She had been a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics for many years.

Linda was a beautiful soul who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Mlynek; grandchildren, Chase, Ryan and Cameron Cropper; sisters, Diane Chapman and Terri Brooke; and nieces. She was preceded in death by her children, Gabrielle Hatten and Charles M. "Chuck" Mlynek.

Funeral service for Linda will be today, Wednesday, December 30, at 11 a.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for Linda and Jim's grandchildren's education fund.
